Apple’s next store looks like a giant ball floating on water

Apple is gearing up to launch its third unique store in Singapore after Apple Orchard Road and Apple Jewel Changi Airport. The upcoming store, dubbed as Apple Marina Bay Sands, will be on Singapore’s waterfront near Marina Bay Sands. The store looks unique and at a glance appears like a giant ball floating on water. It is the first Apple store to have a spherical design and it is placed on water making it look like it’s floating. Singapore is an important destination for Apple and three stores have come up in just three years.
As per a report by 9to5 Mac, during the day, the store’s glass panels reflect the towering skyline of the Downtown Core and motion of the rippling water. At night, the sphere glows with a gentle warmth, evoking the design of traditional lanterns carried during Singapore’s Mid-Autumn Festival.

There’s an elevated boardwalk and underwater passage that connects the pavilion to the shore and The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, it added.
Apple hasn’t announced when the store will be open to the public but it is expected to happen soon.
Apple hasn’t spoken much about the store yet and just says: “we will soon open the doors to our new store by the Bay” on its teaser website. “Apple Marina Bay Sands will be at the heart of creativity, a place we’ve made for you to capture your ideas and passions. It will be a space for you to explore, connect and create something new,” it adds.
